"Our group read Bee Season several years ago, and we still bring it up from time to time. The book is unusual and takes some unexpected twists and turns. The thing is that although several of the members said that they really didn't like the book all that much, we all had to admit that it was one of our most memorable books. The secret life of one of the characters is so unexpected and shocking and the ending marks a major turning point for another character.
