“Our book club recently read The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. We found this book to be a riveting read. Best of all, the book engendered very lively discussion. Our members argued about many aspects of this book - was it too graphic in its descriptions of grievous bodily injury; was it too literary; did it make sense from different character's perspectives and much more? While not all of us liked the book, we all agreed it was one of our best book club choices. We highly recommend this book to other reading groups.”

More Discussible Book Choices
“We absolutely love Still Alice by Lisa Genova. The book’s vivid depiction of the surreal life forced upon Alzheimer’s victims and their caregivers definitely helps promote Alzheimer’s awareness.”

“Our group decided to read political novels this year in honor of the Presidential election. We have conducted lively discussions on All the King's Men (Robert Penn Warren), 1984 (George Orwell), and Cry the Beloved Country (Alan Paton). But the eeriest and most amusing meeting was on Election Night when we discussed Adventures of the Artificial Woman (Thomas Berger), which features a beautiful female robot who runs for Vice-President ... !”
